Topic:  2017 Tax Update

Speaker:  Michael D. McLeskey

Michael McLeskey is a manager in the tax department of Haynie & Company in the Salt Lake City, Utah office. His areas of concentration include corporate income tax, tax provision consulting in accordance with ASC 740 (FAS 109) – Accounting for Income taxes, multistate taxation, partnership taxation, entity selection, S-corporation tax planning and compliance issues, IRS representation and resolution, high net worth individual taxation, and valuation issues.

Michael attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah and obtained a bachelor’s degree in 2008 as well as a master’s degree (MAcc) in professional accountancy with an emphasis in taxation in 2009. Michael joined Haynie & Company’s tax department in 2009 and passed the CPA exam in 2010.

He is a member of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.

Michael and his wife Kara have four children. Michael loves spending time with his family, staying connected with his community, and being involved in his church. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, piano, running, playing Ultimate Frisbee, or relaxing with a good book or movie.
